I was the keynote speaker at the General Meeting of the Nigerian Army Officers Wife’s Association.( NAOWA)

The Mental Health talk on family and individual wellbeing, was focused on developing skills for managing expectations. The goal was to help the women identify areas they struggle with because of unmet expectations. Secondly, learn the act of acceptance and rediscovery of the strength and possibilities that lie within.

It was a hugely successful talk with great feedback from the women.

Mental Health for Women

We have to keep listening to get it right.

International Widow's Day

I sat with the bravest women as they shared their stories of pain and despair. Grief is real, but grieving for a spouse is so much more.

In Nigeria , being a widow comes with so much burden. The stories I hear are sometimes unbelievable. But they are so real and it has happened, it is happening and it will happen again and again. We have a duty to reach out to Widows around us, support them anyway that we can. Be their voice and speak for them.

We have more group therapy sessions planned. You can participate or sponsor a widow. Sometimes all we need is someone to talk too , and a place where we know our pain is understood and shared.
